Pakistan's Federal Budget 2009-10 : Issues and Challenges
The Federal Budget-2009-10 was presented by the State Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs on June 13th. Currently, the budget is being debated in the house. The Pakistan civil society has responded to the budget, highlighting a range of peoples issues which are important for consideration in the pursuit of building a stronger, just and democratic nation.

The methodologies of ELBAG and social audit were used by ActionAid-Pakistan along with its local partner Badin Rural Development Society (BRDS) that has been amplifying local people's voices against unilateral terms and conditions imposed in land leasing process, land degradation, denial of job opportunities to local people, destruction of road infrastructure and other corporate abuses by British Petroleum Pakistan (BPP) in Badin district.
